TOPVALU is now officially available at AEON Shopping Stores across the Malaysian peninsular today. TOPVALU, AEON’s global flagship private brand, was initially introduced at Japan in 1994 and has grown to be Japan’s largest and most well-known retailer brand. The brand and its products are developed in collaboration with consumers and the region’s best suppliers to meet strict quality standards while providing the best value in the market.

Since its launch, TOPVALU quickly rose to become the leading private brand in Japan, gaining national distribution across multiple retail formats and delighting AEON customers through its broad assortment and unmatched quality and value. TOPVALU aims to provide a similar experience for AEON customers in the Malaysian market through a broad assortment of lifestyle products with the same unmatched quality, price and value that customers in Japan have come to trust.

The TOPVALU brand is segmented into 3 tiers including TOPVALU SELECT, TOPVALU and TOPVALU BESTPRICE. The launch of TOPVALU in Malaysia was hosted by AEON TOPVALU Malaysia Mr. Koshi Miyase, Managing Director of TOPVALU Malaysia and Nagahisa Oyama, the Chief Executive Officer of Asean Business at AEON Co., Ltd., President of TOPVALU., at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. It is supported by the tagline, ‘Your Voice. Our Inspiration. TOPVALU is being launched in conjunction with the TOPVALU Fair, currently taking place from the 4th to 8th of September. Throughout this 5-day event, customers will be introduced to the collaborative Topvalu product development process, quality standards and be able to experience and purchase the products first hand. AEON will also be active in engaging customers through a wide variety of games, sensory tests and contests.

The TOPVALU Fair is also fun for both the young and old with activities the whole family can enjoy, including a colouring contest, family food marathon, photo booth, basketball challenge, TOPVALU water drinking challenge, TOPVALU pizza eating challenge and balloon giveaway among others.

In conjunction with the launch, AEON will run the ‘TOPVALU. Your Voice. Our Inspiration.’ Contest from 4 September to 4 October 2013 soliciting from customers creative and innovative ideas for future Topvalu products and services, winning ideas may earn cash prices total worth up to RM 5,500.
